How to use this site

This help file is split into several sections explaining:

The Proposals Maps

The proposals maps are split into several large scale maps. A menu is provided at the top of the maps section to allow you to chose which map you wish to view.

The legend is shown on the left-hand-side of the page, and contains a table explaining how the map is to be interpreted. The relevant policies for each of the areas described in the legend are linked to the relevant text in the written statement.

How to navigate the maps

There are several methods of navigating the maps. Around each map are several small triangles; these can be used to move around the map in the compass direction represented by each of the triangles. Simply click on these, and the map will be reloaded to reflect the new location.

A scale bar is shown to the right of the map, showing the level at which you have zoomed in to the map. The scales at which you can zoom are optimised for each map. In order to change scale, you simply click on the desired scale icon and the map will be reloaded to reflect the chosen scale at the same location.

The Written Statement

The written statement is arranged by chapter and contains policy references, which you can click on to access the relevant policy. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the plan and the user guide (Chapter 2) explains how to use it.
